On Monday 3rd June me and Lauren went down to London to the L’oreal Colour Trophy show and awards, after a fantastic day in the city we arrived at the awards where Trevor Sorbie put on the most amazing inspirational show.

After the show the winners were announced for the Young Colourists Awards, each Young Colourist regional winner will become part of the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Academy 2013/14, which is a one year development program where the winners will be inspired and educated by the most enthusiastic and award winning colourists from the UK, a title and prize to be proud of, our region North-East came up and it was announced that we did it! Lauren was the winner and took home the trophy! Brilliant news, she’s excited to see what the next year brings and what she can bring back to the salon and share with the rest of the girls!

We are also delighted to announce that we are finalist in The Wakefield Business Awards in two categories! Claire, our manager, is up for Employee of the year and we need all the help and support we can get so if you are a reader of the Wakefield Express please take the time to vote for Claire, if you bring your voting slip in to the salon we’ll even send it off for you! We are also a finalist in the People Make Performance Awards, which means the world to us here at En Route as we work really hard to educate ourselves and each other. The finals are 20th June so keep posted to see how we do!

Also it’s not long now until the Clynol awards, June 16th, fingers crossed for all the girls hopefully we’ll bring back some more trophies to the salon!
